Ancient art decorates Iran houses, containers

Iran’s mat weaving or Hasir Bafi is one of the oldest crafts still practiced in several parts of the country, including Bushehr Province.

In particular, the city of Abpakhsh in the province has been producing various types of products made through this hand-woven art since ancient times. This is due to the abundance of palm leaves and fibers in the city.

Many residents of the city weave mats in their spare time besides agriculture, adding a unique feature to their diverse economic resources.
